VPN Vault is an independent UK comparison site for Virtual Private Networks. We purchase every VPN at full price, test it on UK servers, and publish honest scores based solely on performance. No free review copies. No paid placements. No ranking changes for commercial reasons.
We update our rankings monthly. If a VPN's quality declines, its ranking drops immediately — regardless of affiliate commission rates.
How We Test
Speed Testing
Ookla Speedtest on 3 UK servers (London, Manchester, Birmingham) at morning, peak and off-peak times. 9 tests per VPN per month.
Streaming Audit
BBC iPlayer, Netflix UK, ITV Hub and Channel 4 tested weekly. Any failure triggers 3 re-tests before status updates.
Privacy Audit
No-logs policies cross-referenced against independent audit reports. Jurisdiction assessed against Five/Nine/Fourteen Eyes membership.
DNS Leak Testing
Each VPN tested via dnsleaktest.com and ipleak.net. Kill switch verified by disconnecting mid-traffic and checking for IP exposure.
How We Make Money
When you click a link on VPN Vault and purchase a VPN subscription, we earn an affiliate commission. This commission is paid by the VPN provider and does not increase your price. It funds the time and cost of independent testing.
